Review & Description

This book was inspired by a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson "It is not the length of life, but the depth of life." It starts here. Within two decades life-extension will be a fact. The biology is there. People will be able to live to be 125 to 160 years old.

In the story Dr. Richard Anderson, a geneticist, stumbles on a formula that will extend people's lives. The discovery was part of a life long quest. He decides to do a 20 year test on four subjects to see what it does these peoples lives. If better happiness, greater well-being and a greater good is the end result. He will release his formula to the world. If not the serum must be destroyed.

In theory an extended life may be a noble thing. However as we are dramatically reminded in the book, in all acts of creation, the seeds of destruction must be sewn.

"In oneself lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself." J. Krishnamurti

Through the characters in this book you will 'see' how to look and learn in new ways. Much of this is grounded in advances in neurological and cognitive research on the human brain.

The book is a journey deep into the heart of living and dying. Touching on some of the most profound questions us humans face.
